The Carbondale Aquatics Center represents a major milestone for our team as the largest aquatic facility completed during our time operating as Colorado Hardscapes’ aquatics division. Built in collaboration with the Town of Carbondale, this expansive facility brings together competitive swimming, recreation, and family-friendly aquatic amenities.
The facility features a certified competition lap pool, a 5-meter climbing wall, a recreation pool, a zero-entry splash pad, and a raised hot tub. Each element was designed to serve a variety of users while creating a cohesive aquatic environment.
The project scope included pool plaster finishes, more than 600 square feet of Porviva flatwork, more than 480 square feet of Sandscape decking, and Sandscape pool coping. Together, these finishes contribute to the facility’s durability, functionality, and cohesive design.
The project presented logistical challenges due to its distance from our team’s home base, along with demanding design requirements that called for precision throughout construction. Through careful coordination and attention to detail, our crews successfully delivered a complex aquatic facility for the Carbondale community.
